Technical Innovations

Our policy of continuous research and development embraces all aspects of our operation from production through to customer services.

New compounds are formulated and blended at our wholly owned subsidiary Devon Rubber to ensure optimum performance is achieved across a range of parameters including low rolling resistance, traction, heat dispersal and durability.

New tread patterns and tyres for specific applications are under continuous development to ensure the Bandvulc range exceeds customers' price and performance expectations.

Close links to universities and research facilities provides leading edge technology to all aspects of our operation. Bandvulc were early pioneers of ultrasonic testing which is fully integrated into our production lines. Surface profiling using laser technology is under active investigation whilst advanced rapid prototyping techniques are now established as an essential aid to our new tyre design process.

Advanced information technology systems are employed to track casings through their lives and provide detailed KPI information for large fleet operators whilst electronic tagging and telematics are currently undergoing field trials.
