Complete Casing Control

Lower cost per mile

The casing of a tyre - the bulk of its structure which excludes the tread - can be recycled and reconstructed with a new tread to provide extremely cost effective performance. Developments in polymer science, contemporary production techniques and state of the art technology like ultrasonic testing ensures that reconstructed tyres are as safe and reliable as most new ones. Well maintained tyres which have been driven within the speed and inflation limits represent a significant financial investment and can be expected to attain a low cost per mile through the process of reconstruction. But with variations in operating conditions, tyre make, driver diligence and maintenance regimes, it is difficult to know which factors to address in order to achieve best value for money.

Knowledge is the key

Complete Casing Control is a unique system developed exclusively by Bandvulc which provides a comprehensive audit trail from the time a used tyre is removed from a vehicle until it is either reprocessed or sent for disposal. CCC identifies each tyre according to the vehicle on which it was used and the depot from which it operated. The tyre is tracked through all stages of inspection and CCC provides detailed reports on wear and damage sustained during its operational life. The information obtained is presented in graphical and statistical formats and is broken down and analysed to enable fleet operators to identify trends and problem areas which can be addressed to gain maximum savings. Apart from the strategic and tactical advantages this knowledge offers, it also provides a high level of security by ensuring that the number of tyres fitted in any period matches the number of casings collected regardless of their ultimate acceptability for reprocessing.

Cross referenced for maximum savings

The acceptability of casings is shown by:

? Size
? Manufacturer
? First Life
? Remould
? Depot
? Vehicle Registration Number
? Axle Position

Rejected casings are analysed under four main headings:

? Tyre Maintenance
? Operational Damage
? Casing Fatigue
? Manufacture
? Trends are analysed by showing figures for both monthly and year to date totals.

At a glance graphics

CCC ReportThe tracking of casings through many stages of inspection and processing requires a sophisticated computer network. The system also provides our customers with a major benefit by automatically converting the data into easy to understand colour coded charts and graphs. This highly visual presentation facilitates detailed analysis of performance and trends in minutes. Paper printouts are mailed monthly and - if requested - data can be sent directly in electronic format.
