About the Bandvulc Group
The innovation and energy demonstrated by the two brothers, John and Richard O'Connell, when they started the company in 1971 has carried Bandvulc forward with great success. Today numerous other members of the family are involved and the company enjoys continued growth.
During the Spring of 2006 the consolidation of the business was finalised and a new brand identity was launched. In a drive to achieve even greater efficiency and to facilitate projected future growth, the newly formed Bandvulc Group provides customers and suppliers with a single operating company with which to deal with.

Patrick O'Connell, managing director of the Bandvulc Group adds: "The development of the Bandvulc Group, as one of the leading companies in European truck tyre retreading, is a culmination of three years hard work and exceptional commitment from the whole Bandvulc team. We've seen significant growth and expansion in all areas of the business and we will continue to drive it forward by focusing on innovation, efficiency, environmental management and quality".
"The change allows a more controlled focus on our core activity of manufacturing and management", adds Phil West, sales director of the Bandvulc Group. "The consolidation will also provide a sound footing for future growth in the provision of unrivalled products and services for the European logistics market, ensuring that Bandvulc stays at the forefront of technology and quality."
This major re-organisation of the group also coincided with the expansion of Bandvulc's Wigan depot at an investment of £500,000, development of its tyre support centre and continued expenditure in retread tyre manufacture and technology such as rolling resistance.
Based in Ivybridge, Devon, The Bandvulc Group together with its subsidiaries Bandvulc Tyres, Bandvulc Tyre Contracts and Devon Rubber has a combined turnover of £22 million and employs some 250 people throughout the UK, with managed and supply operations throughout mainland Europe.
